BT Group - Pay 2014

CWU Head Office has published Independent Scrutineer’s report detailing the result of the consultative ballot on BT pay.

Data files were sent to Popularis from BT and CWU respectively. The files were ‘matched’ to provide a list of CWU members eligible to vote in the ballot using email addresses provided by BT.

Do you accept the final BT Pay Offer?
ACCEPT 19,296 72%
REJECT 7,469
Spoilt ballot papers (no votes cast) 73
Total votes cast 26,838 66%
Total members entitled to vote 40,518

The CWU has confirmed acceptance of the offer, which will be implemented in July salaries.

The Independent Scrutineer (Anne Hock) has certified that the secret ballot was conducted using a secure web system. Each member was sent a unique password and the link to the system and that the arrangements for each member to cast their vote included all such security arrangements as were reasonably practicable for the purpose of minimising the risk that any unfairness or malpractice might occur. Also that the Scrutineer was able to carry out the functions conferred on her without any interference from the trade union or any of its members, officials or employees.
