Change in Subscription Rates
For many years, CWU subscriptions have been based on “Full Time”; “Part Time” and “Non Recognised” rates, with the concept of “Part Time” being anything less than “Full Time” in a particular company, This means that in some companies members are paying the full time rate, whereas in others members working the same hours pay part time rates.
From 1 January 2010, CWU subscriptions for New Members will be based on whether the CWU has recognition in a company, and how many hours the member works per week. There are a number of companies where the CWU recognition agreement is relatively new, and subscriptions are still at the non recognised rate. At a future date, the NEC intend to amend these rates and give appropriate notice. For Existing members, the “Full Time” rate now equates to the new “Over 30 hours” rate, The Part Time rate will continue at the rate previously published.
