Trevor Ottoway

I joined Post Office Telephones in 1971. Currently Customer Service Coach in Openreach (Volume). My union service started in 1979, and I was elected to Cambridge Branch Committee moving to Assistant Secretary before joining Kings Lynn Branch in 1985. Merger saw a return to Cambridge, eventually being elected Branch Chair for North Anglia Branch.

Dave Thompson

I joined BT and the CWU in 1984. I became a committee member in 2001 and an Assistant Secretary of the Branch since 2005. I am Based in the Norwich office, on part time Union release. I work for BT in Business Provision Management.

Garry Barker

I have been active in the Union since 1976 and a Branch Officer since 1985. I have has covered numerous roles within the Branch and at regional level.

I have overseen the merger of four Branches over the last few years. It started with Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich to create the Suffolk Branch. Suffolk and Norwich engineering to create the North East Anglia Branch. North East Anglia and Cambridge & Norwich Clerical to create North Anglia Branch. The latest being the merger of the Martlseham Combined Branch with North Anglia.

Graham Colk

I have worked for BT in Kiln House, Norwich since 1982. I started as a CA in Marketing, became a CO in Residential Sales in 1983, and a Commo in Business Sales in 1986. I have represented members of the CWU and its predecessors since 1985.

I have held virtually every Branch Officer post over the years and held Regional Secretary posts in their various forms. I am currently a C2, Chair of the North Anglia Branch and have been an elected member of the CWU National Executive for five years. I have seen and heard most things over 22 years of activism, but I still feel passionate about what is right and what is wrong, and achieving fairness and justice for all members of the union and in the world as a whole.

Eddie Lawrence

I have worked for BT since 1979 as a Network build Jointer and then a Customer Service Engineer. Since 1999 I have been a planner in the external network.

Lee Davey

I joined BT and the CWU in 1999. Originally starting as a heavy copper cabler on complex, I then moved into work flow and allocation for openreach in 2006.

Having been involved in engineering, and then allocation, I have seen the need for constant support to our members and wished to become personally more involved within the CWU. I became a committee member in 2010 and am now assistant secretary full time.

I feel passionate that all members of CWU should be treated with the respect, fairness and sense of justice that are your basic human rights whilst working for any company.
