BT Operate: Coaching Plans Annual Leave

CWU Head office recently learned about an email from a BT Operate manager in Service Management and Operations to other managers with regards to Performance Management Coaching Plans and annual leave.
The communication was indicating to line managers that if they have people on coaching plans and the line manager would like to restrict booking of leave during the period of the plan then they request moving the individual to a separate leave group on SI /FOS which will reject the leave request. Also, an expectation that Line Managers make the individual aware that they will not be granted leave during these periods.
This was pursued nationally and confirmation was received that the email has been withdrawn and deleted by those in receipt. Furthermore, Team managers will consider requests for annual leave in the usual way.
